“Space School Musical” has just been selected in the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival and will be seen on the big screen by thousands of youth voters!
Now in its twelfth year, the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival is a showcase for children’s films, TV shows and DVDs from major studios and independent filmmakers. The festival partners with more than 150 venues worldwide who host more than 10,000 screenings of KIDS FIRST! films year-round to an audience of more than one million. What’s special about this film festival is that the youth is given a true voice – as curators, as audience members, as film critics, as volunteer staff and as filmmakers showing their work. Almost one-third of the films accepted every year are from student filmmakers.
This is what a reviewer said about the project: “Talented kids perform a musical play about the solar system. Many music genres are included: hip-hop, rock, blues, show tunes. Hannah is not “cool” at school but in her imagined world about the space, she fits right in. My eight-year-old was glued to the screen. This is not an upscale commercial production but rather a very heartfelt production with enthusiastic youth performers.”
Wish us luck!!!
